Welcome to the blog, I guess

Congratulations. You’ve arrived at the least optimized, least monetized, and least influencer-friendly corner of the internet. I made this blog because I wanted a place to scream into the void without a comments section asking me to “smash that like button.”

No Medium, no Substack, no engagement-tracking pixel licking my keyboard. Just a personal brain dump duct-taped to a web server. It’s ugly. It’s fast. It’s mine.

How the Blog Works (A Cry for Help Disguised as a Tech Stack)

Predictably, I couldn’t just write things like a normal person. I had to turn it into a software project. So here’s the pile of tech I lovingly cobbled together:

  • MicroPie — a tiny async Python web framework that exists because I refused to use Flask like a well-adjusted adult
  • MongoDB + Motor — async document storage for my long-winded nonsense
  • Jinja2 — for making HTML look slightly less like HTML
  • Markdown — so I can pretend it’s “minimalist”

There’s no CMS. No admin panel. No drag-and-drop anything. Just:

write → save → render → scream internally → done

What’s Going to End Up Here

This blog is not a tech thought leadership hub. It’s not a place to “build my brand.” It’s a junk drawer for my brain, and you’re the raccoon who wandered in. Expect a rotating mix of:

  • Disconnected thoughts and ideas I didn’t bother to delete
  • Code snippets, bugs, and other software gremlins
  • Updates on projects like Vegy, MicroPie, or things I started at 2 AM and regret
  • Tools I actually use instead of just tweet about
  • Linux config crimes and performance tweaks no sane person needs
  • Video games, because I am emotionally twelve
  • Boats, cars, and mechanical rabbit holes I fell into
  • Guns (yes)
  • Electronics and hardware nonsense
  • Anything else I feel like yelling about

Sometimes I’ll write a novella. Sometimes it’ll be a tweet with a pulse. Sometimes it’ll just be a stack trace and a timestamp.

Why Did I Build This?

Because I needed a place to think out loud without needing to “build a community.” If someone else finds it useful or mildly entertaining, great. If not, I’ll still be here, screaming into my own echo chamber.

This thing will grow as I do. If you’re reading this now, you’re early enough to witness the chaos before I pretend to be organized. Congrats?

More posts soon. Probably.
