Vegy Is Real Now — Garden Fresh Is Running on It, and You Could Be Next
Vegy started as a side project built to solve a friend’s wholesale chaos — and now it’s powering real orders, real delivery slips, and real produce sales for a company called Garden Fresh Produce.
It’s not a mockup. It’s not a beta. It’s live.
What Is Vegy?
Vegy is a full-blown multi-tenant web platform for wholesale ordering.
If you're a supplier of produce, meat, seafood, packaging, bakery, whatever, you get your own branded instance (e.g. yourcompany.vegy.app) where your customers can log in and place orders directly.
Your Catalog, Your Prices, Your Customers
Each instance is its own thing:
- Custom catalog, item names, categories
- Custom pricing per customer or per unit
- You define your delivery days, your terms, your rules
- You control who gets access, your customers only see their stuff
You run your business. Vegy just gives you the infrastructure.
What It Replaces
Before Vegy, Garden Fresh was juggling:
- A Google Sheet of inventory
- Phone and text orders
- Manually written invoices and delivery slips
- Zero order history or analytics
- And just enough chaos to make every morning suck
Now they have:
- A branded order portal
- Automated delivery slips (PDF)
- Searchable order history
- Exportable data for bookkeeping
- Quickbooks integrations
- Custom pricing per customer, built-in
What the App Actually Does
- Mobile-friendly order portal for customers
- Backend dashboard for suppliers to manage orders
- Delivery/packing slip generation (CSV, PDF, automatically emailed or printed)
- Order status and filtering — find what shipped, what’s pending, what needs love
- CSV and QuickBooks export for accounting
- Multi-user roles — buyers, admins, staff accounts, etc.
No App Required
Vegy is a web app. That means:
- Your customers don't install anything
- They open a link, log in, and place an order
- It works on phones, tablets, laptops, kitchen iPads covered in flour, whatever
- If you want a native app later, fine. But 90% of the time, the browser's enough
This is not “tech for tech’s sake.” This is “we made ordering not suck.”
Running an Instance
Each supplier gets:
- A hosted instance under yourname.vegy.app (or your own domain)
- A clean admin dashboard
- Full control over catalog and pricing
- Tools to handle daily orders, deliveries, and basic reporting
- Support when something breaks (usually caused by me, fixed by me)
You invite your customers, they place orders, you fulfill them.
No spreadsheets. No texts. Just a clean workflow.
What’s Next
We’re starting to onboard other businesses. If you:
- Sell stuff to businesses (not consumers)
- Have repeat customers
- Take orders more than once a week
- Hate your current system (or don’t have one)
Vegy is built for you.
You don’t need to know tech. You don’t need to be “modern.”
You just need to stop using paper slips and text messages as your logistics stack.
